I saw the same thing, it said that summer flights would be on sale from 16/05, this was said after their schedule was announced, so definitely not the same.

Anyone know why all the flights in October into mid November have now disappeared? All well and good saying you can move your flight and no fare difference if you complete by November the 30th, all the flights have disappeared!

Virgin Atlantic's press release was badly worded but they are selling summer flights in line with their booking system of 330 days in advance (BA doing the same but 355 days out).

It would have been better if VS had explained that originally to prevent unecessary worry and concerns for their passengers.

I've just done a search from Manchester to Orlando and there are still flights available. Where are you flying from and to?

So annoying, it's no different so I can't understand why they said anything. I was hoping to be able to postpone this July and re-book for next July. I wonder why they can't do it, they have flights available on their holidays. I'm just curious.

As you say you can see VH holidays beyond the 330 days.

In a moment of weakness I checked a VH fly-drive for our Spring dates. We've been mortgage free for years - no intention of getting another one just for a holiday

Was looking at LHR to MCO. On Saturday you could book flights from the 25th of October onwards, as of today the first flight you can book is on the 17th of November. Wondered whats happened to the flights in between.

Virgin Atlantic Holidays are given an allocation on each flight that they can use to sell holidays in advance of flights opening up - once that limit has been reached they can't book anymore. So that is why they show "flights available" what they mean is they haven't reached their allocation limit.

Virgin Atlantic work on a different system hence the 330 days - BA's is 355 days - so that is why you can't rebook.

Hope that helps explain the difference.
