Mobile KLM refund online - anyone done this?

So flight for next month got cancelled and to avoid speaking to anyone at KLM I contacted them via WhatsApp.
They got back and told me to apply online for the refund but the process seems pretty basic.
Anyone used this process and how does it work regarding confirmation emails etc.?

I couldn't cancel online with Air France (owned jointly with KML) as they had wiped all trace of my reservation having even existed.

So I phoned and got a cash refund, was told it would take 8 weeks. I got a cancellation reference number. I asked if I would get an email and was told not.

Not sure if that info's any use?

Looks like I’ll have to ring them as I don’t trust their website cancellation layout.

Thanks for this, we requested a refund online with Air France when our flight was cancelled the other week and we were wondering how long it would take to be refunded.

OK, a tip then, if you get the same call centre as I did, the line for modifying reservations may tell you they are too busy to take your call and hang up. Use the new bookings option, they will be able to handle your cancellation.

Air France and KLM refund policies and processes are completely different and separate to each other.

I'm sure you are right but straight after my call I got an email from 'Air France and KLM customer Services'. Hard for the customer to tell what processes are separate or not.

I applied yesterday as our 21st July flight from Manchester was cancelled. Very straightforward and received an email right away with a reference number. Now to wait for the refund.
