Should be going October 😢 I’m completely with you all.
A few days ago my phone reminder popped up “Book fast passes 12pm” - it was so depressing realising that I had finally hit the 60 day mark, having set that reminder onto the calendar back in January!

I can handle park booking to an extent if there is strong availability. I would like to hop though. I can accept park booking if the EMH, fireworks, shows, parades and characters are back and face masks are gone. Or at least face masks outside are gone. In fact I can even cope without character photos as this is a trip with out children (even though it’s compulsory to meet Mickey in his home), and park hours need to increase again.

Park reservations are half done already with the FPs but of course we’ve lost the ability to hop. I was actually really looking forward to reserving fast passes! Watched so many videos on tips with how to do it and get the most out of them.

Part of the fun is the planning. Also waiting for the flights to become available for October next year. And the Disney hotels. And the tickets! Still have my ticket on MDE which I need to try and get refunded. Can’t bear to look at it anymore!

I just keep saying to myself, it will be much better to do it properly then come home with half the perks and not be able to afford to go back.

Edited at 11:35 PM.

We are the same as you, booked with Thomas Cook for next July for 3 weeks during school holidays. Then booked Virgin flights with Air France, followed by hassle of getting consequential losses back from Barclaycard Had those flights cancelled by Virgin, still waiting for refund as Air France/KLM gave us vouchers instead of refund We had asked the villa owner to defer until next year and he blocked off August for us, had to tell him today that it didn't look like we would be able to book flights yet as still waiting for FCO Straight away he refunded our deposit . It looks like we will be cancelling our theme tickets as well We cannot get excited about booking, I keep looking to see what prices the flights are, but have no enthusiasm for it at all. We change from wanting to go to not wanting

We’re the same.
We should’ve gone in May and were going to Lanzarote in October which we’ve moved to next May and changed to Florida.
When we moved our October holiday we were confident that May would be fine but I’m less confident every day
We also have Disney tickets that have been extended until September 21 so I’m concerned what will happen with them if we can’t go.
I wanted to take a refund when Disney offered it but DH wanted to keep them so if we lose them I’ll blame DH 🤣
We’re just hoping a vaccine will be available in the next few months.

Feel exactly the same. Should be excited about our Feb 2021 trip but with only 5 months to go I'm 50-50 if it goes ahead or not.

I've booked a split stay 8 nights OKW and 2 nights AKL I should be estastic but just can't get too enthused.

I dont even want to buy park tickets at the moment, because I don't want to put my 2 yo son in a mask all day.

Yep, feeling this aswell. Supposed to be there now, had NYC in November cancelled, then we cancelled Florida in Feb 21, and the villa we had booked for this summer which we changed to next August, we have also cancelled. The villa we booked for Feb 21 has been moved to August 22, but I cannot get excited about it yet. Way too many uncertainties, if masks are still compulsory in the parks, then we will have to have a serious think about the trip and possibly change to a road trip, either southern states or West Coast. We have 10 days booked in Crete next July, so will think more about 2022 and get excited after then!

I'll join your club, I love the planning and excitement, it's not there anymore.

We're lucky in a way we didn't have US a trip planned this year as we were there in November, should have been going to April. This has now been moved to August and although I've found us a beautiful villa and decent cruise itinerary I just can't get in to in properly. I do really want to go but it's like you don't want to throw yourself at it and increase the disappointment if it doesn't go ahead.

The big christmas reveal for the kids is definitely not happening and that's sad.

I understand the reveal to the kids thing, ours knew about Florida but we were due to go to NYC for thanksgiving as a surprise for them because we went a few years ago and they were gutted we didn’t take them, wasn’t telling them until we got to the airport (they’re 12 & 14) and I still haven’t told them it was booked and now cancelled, just easier not to! They know about Crete next summer and fully aware it might not happen. Fingers crossed for all of us x

I know it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but we should've been in California for the 1st time at Easter, husband didn't know about it either so it was going to be the big gift for all of them. At least it's only really me that's disappointed! Now it's been moved to Florida in August instead and I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed it'll all go ahead but the build up to it is going to be completely different. I certainly didn't get that excited buzzy feeling when I confirmed the booking.

I'm also really aware that lots of my friends have lost out on holidays this year, some big ones that were planned for a long time and some they haven't received money back for as yet. I don't feel like I can talk about Florida with them and normally we chat away about holiday plans all the time.
