I think even the most optimistic including myself are coming round to the idea that 2021 will likely be worse than 2020. This year the virus emerged in the Spring, but after a whole Winter to circulate... i dread to think. Things will look more promising towards the end of next year though surely, in terms of booking a Florida holiday.

Sorry if that's negative. Not wanting to dash any hopes, i've just changed my stance the last few months. I'd rather prepare for the worst than keep thinking my trips will happen until the last minute again. It's quite crushing.

We've booked for August 2021. Only deposits paid, everything can move. At the moment I feel its 50/50 whether we'll be able to go, might have to move it to next Christmas?

I'm tempted to buy some dollars this week because I'm not feeling optimistic about the UK economy.

A month is a long time in the pandemic - where we'll be in 8 months is anyone's guess - but it's definitely possible things will be much more 'normal'
