We absolutely loved the Beach Club for its location and Animal Kingdom Lodge for the theming. Money no object then I would always choose Grand Floridian (not stayed there though!)

Stayed in Beach Club last February and it was fantastic. Location was incredible and rooms had a fold down bed so would be big enough for a family of 5.
Our friends stayed in the Animal Kingdom Lodge and they thought it was great but it was a bit out of the action. You couldn't really just pop back to the room if you wanted for a bit and it was a bit of a nightmare getting back at the end of a long day. |

Not going to say best but I will say it depends what you want ? Some of the values are proper " in your face Disney" but with young kids this might suit? Not a fan of CBR but would stay at both POR & POFQ as the theming is really good. If the kids like animals then really you can't go wrong at AKL but you can't escape that it's a bit isolated. Wilderness Lodge would also be a good choice it's basically AKL without the animals! We love Saratoga but as 2 adults it has the closeness to Disney Springs & offsite locations that suit our needs.

The Beach Club is the worst resort we have stayed in. Desperate need for renovation. Great compensation from them for the issues we had when staying (worth over £3000 in future stays and refunds) for our 8 night stay.
Even the resort manager asked us to formally complain so they could get on the renovation list. Biggest complaint on review sites is the beds and trust me, they are appalling. AKL is by far the most unique and best resort and love POFQ for the price and renovation work. Our free upgrade in GF to a main building suite was amazing.

If money isn't a worry one of the seven seas lagoon hotels. For the young kids closest walking distance to MK then you should consider Contemporary, however the pools are not the best. But you cant really go wrong with any of the 4 in this area, there is pros and cons for each, just bare in mind you will be paying a premium for the location.
in my opinion the best pool and best walking distance to decent restaurants (world show case) other than Disney springs is Yacht & Beach Club. Edited at 07:04 PM. |

Old Key West 1 bedroom apartment might be good for you. A great resort with big and small pools and lots of space. All rooms have balconies and seem to have plenty of space.
You can grab a boat or a bus over to Disney Springs for food and shopping. Busses to parks are regular and while OKW is a little further from some of the parks, it's still only 20 minutes from door to door. Whatever you choose you will love it. Good luck Edited at 11:54 AM. |
