Patio slab cleaning

Hi all
Well the dreaded summer sitting on a patio is here, such a struggle with the good weather, cold wine and a bbq

But my patio is green and slimy in some places.
Tips at cleaning please.

I have no jet washer and will not be getting one.
I have a cat and often visiting grandchildren and a lovely little lawn, so nothing that is going to poison them all

Any suggestions peeps?

Personally I like the pressure washer - so many uses!

My friend uses a liquid you just pour on and leave. It's definitely not as good as the pressure washer but it's an option. It will be child and pet friendly too as she has both.

This pops up a lot on here.

I find pressure washers leave streaks because as you move along the lance can be at different heights or you spend longer in one place than the other.

I am a fan of this gear. Water on neat with a watering can. leave for 30 mins and hose down a drain. Packed full of bleach but it has never burnt or killed my grass.

Ha ha. You should know me. I won’t use B and Q as it’s too expensive.

Amazon sell it but I get it direct from Prokleen the manufacturer. 10 litres namely 2 cans does my patio. Delivery is free and arrives in circa 3 days.

I've tried everything that's pet friendly and nothing works even half as well as a pressure washer. I resisted for ages too but in the end borrowed one ( you can buy one for £30 if nobody has one to lend)
The only pet friendly 'chemical' I know of is Algon, which does a fair job. You only have to keep your pets off until it's dry then it's safe. But once it has worked (takes about a week) you still have to scrub the gunk off

Just be careful not to blast your grouting with pressure washer, ours crumbled and now looks awful.

Thanks, we also have a family member who developed a range of easy grout, treatments etc, azpects/products.aspx

But due to the Black spot damage, we are replacing patio this summer (hopefully, if the landscapers eventually fit us in!) having some Vitrified porcelain.
