Oh no! I'm so sorry! I will be having words with DH when he gets in! Which one did you buy? I've looked back at my post on page 2 and said to choose M8 from the drop down, which matches the size on the drawing, however on a later post, the one where I pointed out you'd missed my post and I've put M5

Oh no, yes. On the diagram it’s M8. Can you return and order the M8? I take it it’s the correct length and type just wrong width?

They dont seem quite long enough - would M8 be longer (as well as thicker )

The number after the M is the diameter of the bolt. You then choose the length seperately in millimeters.

Well it finally all came together

Thank you to everyone for your help and support but especially Dutch who PM me a local shop - and £1 later (yes £1) I got the 12 screw things - right length and right width and thread and this morning finished it. Love it but not the drama

Infact sitting on it right now under my olive trees to draft this reply - coffee and Dibb later a G&T and music I think .
