Don't want to vote yet as I've only had one mince pie so far and it was from Tesco. Really enjoyed it though. Unfortunately, here in NI we don't have Aldi, Waitrose or Morrisons so can't do a true taste comparison of them all. I do remember Lidl and Iceland were both very good last year. Love mince pie season!

Spar wins top prize for mince pies at BBC Good Food awards 2020. Spar Luxury Mince Pies have been awarded “best in the UK” by the BBC Good Food Christmas Taste Awards 2020 - click HERE. The pies, which retail at £2 for a pack of six, were described by judges as having a “lovely golden colour and crumbly, buttery pastry”.12 Oct 2020 Click HERE - Aldi's Specially Selected mince pies were 'highly commended', hence why I wasn't disappointed when hubs brought home 6 blood orange and gin and 6 Specially Selected - the article also lists other Christmas goodies, Waitrose apricot & peach bellini panettone (500g), £10, sounds lush. Greggs are my favourite followed by Gails Bakery (and their (Gails) Christmas buns are the very best - cross between Hot Cross Bum, Mince Pie and its iced - proper lush and probably a million calories but, quiet frankly, I don’t care at the moment )
