Any advise would be so greatly appreciated, he takes burden sometimes and has stopped all nasal sprays as he feels its better without, Hopi candles blocked his ear even worse (he has no wax in there at all).

Please help... not sure what to do now

I have the this done every 4 months for past 10 years. You find they seemed blocked for 7 to 10 days ad it feels you got a infection but it just the hairs in the ears have to settle down again.

I had this a couple of years ago. Flew a few days after I got out of hospital with a bad chest infection.
I was really deaf and it was very annoying but not painful or uncomfortable. I did get some spray off the doctor but it cleared up itself after about 6 weeks.

It sounds like he has congestion in his middle ear, and not ear wax, if sectioning didn't help.

Decongestant nasal spray for 6 weeks religiously, steam inhalation religiously.

Unfortunately it is time that will cure this. I know he wants a quick fix but sadly there isn't one

Thank you everyone, he had a lot of wax removed with the micro suction about 3 weeks ago and still blocked, steam inhalations twice a day with Vicks in it and decongestants but nothing working. Its 4 weeks now and he is very low, he has tinnitus also and still the pressure in both ears (he can hear okay).
I cant get him to get up at the minute as he feels so out of sorts, was wondering about paying privately for a consultation at the hospital but not too sure what they will be able to do.

He hasn't tried chewing gum, so will try that and he is still using steroid nose spray daily. No relief and now now he is getting really grumpy. I have also put a humidifier in the bedroom and leave a window open... im freezing!

Im really fed up also as its quite draining but, i wouldn't do anything different looking after him (Im just not quite understanding why you have to stay in bed all day and night when your ears have pressure, trying to encourage him to move around to get the fluid going )

I suffer from blocked ears often, I also suffer with tinnitus, both combined are horrible. My son is an Audiologist and recommended otovent, it was a real game changer for me, helps so much with the blockages. I can highly recommend.
