Average prices offsite dining family of 4

Hi All,

Busy planning for our offsite visit next October & trying to get a ball park figure on costs to so i can start saving.

We are a family of 4, 2 adults 2 children (will be 11 & 10), we will probably not be dining out every day of the 3 weeks, however, will most likely do breakfasts/evening meals 3-4 times a week.

Can anyone give me an idea of roughly how much it would cost for a typical meal for 4?
Or if anyone has done a similar holiday can you give me an idea of what your food spends were?

DH & the kids aren't very adventurous so we'll most likely stick to american places diners/steakhouses etc (apart from the odd Disney ADR which i am counting separately).

Thanks in advance

Your way to go is looks for kids eat free certain nights 2/1 adult nights coupons or the likes of steak and shake kids eat free after 4 pm
We even share in the likes of Culvers the bigger fish and chip dinner is enough for us both
On average I’d budget $75 but at 11 all our boys ate like. Adults but they never ever did like kids menus both here and in the US
Some of the pizza places lik cICis are great value and pizza are huge

If you have a fridge in your room, it is worth making a run to the supermarket and picking up some cereals or yogurts (or not for the fridge croissants etc) for a quick, easy and cheap breakfast.

For dinners, depending on where you are staying, quite a few places do kids eat free offers. Best thing to do is to go onto Google Maps and search for restaurants near your hotel. They should all have menus online so you can get a feel for prices.

Also, if you go to the mall, have a wander around the food court as you get get a fair bit of free food from the tasters!

We are two 70+ year olds who always stay in a villa.

We have around 75% of breakfasts out at the likes of Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel and IHOP at an approximate cost of $25 for two. We usually eat a light lunch on the pool deck with stuff we've bought at Publix. Dinners around 90% out at Longhorn, Carrabba's, Texas, Bonefish Grill etc at around $50 for two. Adding gratuities we reckon around $100 a day average. Long time since we fed 10 and 11 year olds though so depends on their appetites.

We can't always face a full dinner so like Helen we sometimes head to Culvers for a burger or fish and chips.

We never eat in Disney. In our opinion a $50 fillet steak in WDW is not twice as good as a $25 fillet steak from Longhorn. We don't really go anywhere near the parks now though.

Thanks for this, didn't think of of sharing, that'll save some dollars

Looking on line at menus gives you a real idea of choices and prices for budgeting I would say

I see you're at Emerald Isle which we pass two or three times in an average day. We've stayed at Highgate Park on the 27 about 13 times since 2011 (should have now been 16 ) and we eat around 75% of all our meals around Rolling Oaks on the 192 and our journey to eat there usually takes us on Funie Steed Road past Emerald.

If you fancy a Chinese take away one day head over to Berry Town Center on the 27 for Bamboo Wok - around a 5 mile drive for you.

This will give you a lot of the prices for lots of the chain restaurants in Orlando. Just click on the yellow box in the top left to search the list of popular chains.
