Virgin are bloody awful with refunds, had to ring them today as they still hadn't refunded me the price difference on my flights when i changed them in december last year, to be told oh you are in the queue ... must be a bloody long queue

I'm due to fly out on 24th September (this is my third attempt during all this).
I definitely know the feeling of needing to smell those Main Street Bakery treats and eat as many Dole Whip's as physically possible.
I genuinely have my fingers crossed for everyone!
Recent news definitely has dampended my positivity but I feel that most news outlets are just clinging onto any quote that comes out to get a new headline for those clicks.

We are booked for 20 nights from 3rd September and we are planning as if we are going to get to go! Airport parking and hotel booked this week 🥳 September is a long way off so I’m very hopeful. That said, on this day in 2020 I remember saying “of course we will get to go in September, it’s six months away, the world won’t stay shut that long” haha.

Selfishly, if EU holidays remain off limits I think this will help the case for getting to Florida later in the year as one of my biggest concerns is EU holidays opening up like last year for the summer, leaving us back in lock down in September!

Not September but we're due to go in October. I'm about 70% positive that it'll go ahead! A lot can change in 6-7 months and I've seen the rumours about a travel corridor between the UK and US in May. I've had the first dose my my vaccine and just waiting on my boyfriend to get his (come on 18-29 group!) and I think once all adults have been vaccinated then there will be more of an idea of how travel will look, but I'm hopeful we will be on a plane soon!

I think the only reason Europe might affect us is if we allow travel corridors with them but I'm hopeful that things will calm down once they get on top of their vaccinations!

The UK Government is doing the right thing at this moment in time in regards communicating that it is unacceptable to take un-necessary risks. I do find it depressing to see for every piece of good news, they slap a piece of bad news in. My bug bear is the headlines of "threats" that "may" happen. Tell us when they "do" happen - we can handle it, we've been through it.

So that rant over. And to my point...

I'm certain Florida in September will happen if the UK sticks to the path. In the very immediate future - we'll keep seeing news that causes doubt on travel. Keep the faith my friends and we'll see you in the World Showcase in September!
