Car Hire Prices hiked for 2022!

Had a quote a few weeks back for SUV Alamo Inclusive package for 2 weeks in April 2022 for £440, however in past two weeks, Andy at DFCH advised all hire companies seriously hiked prices and now £650! Words of warning for everyone!
Anyone found any deals in the past week?

I've booked a flydrive with Virgin for August next year into Miami. The flights were coming out at around £650 each, ontop of the flight cost an SUV (Intermediate I think) with full insurance add about £550 ontop so I got the package for 2 adults and a child for just over £2400. I thought this represented a reasonable deal considering some other prices i'd seen. Eg: it was double that for the same package flying into Orlando!

Try Virgin stand alone car hire. Their prices tend to stay fairly stable throughout the year. They only use Alamo.
Not sure what your dates are but a STD SUV from 2nd-16th April is £496.

Good find, well done. I suspect the article is spot on.
