RPR resort

Hi can anyone help. I know that no-one has probably been in a year or so but someone may know.

We stayed at RPR club level in 2019 and you got breakfast, sort of lunch and a themed evening type buffet with a dessert hour at 8pm. I noticed that the current description on the website states the following.

Upgrade to one of the Club Level rooms and enjoy access to the Royal Pacific’s Club Lounge including complimentary continental breakfast, evening beer and wine and additional privileges including complimentary admission to the fitness center. Our 335 square foot Club level rooms come with two queen beds that can accommodate four guests. Maximum occupancy of 5 guests with a rollaway (fees apply).

It now only mentions breakfast, have they stopped doing the other meals (I know they are not proper meals but they suited us fine) - don't need the fitness centre, the beer or the wine. If this is the case then it does not make it worth our while paying for club as last time we managed to go all day and just bought an evening meal on one night.

Two websites I found with prices for club level said 'room only' and one charged for room only and then offered an extra charge of $19.95 pp per day for club room.

I was looking at this yesterday as I was wondering if to go for this but for $65 a day for 4 I couldn’t see the value. We will take cereal for breakfast (learnt that lesson from Hard Rock), the beers are only on an evening for an hour, and the drinks you have to go up there and can it get around the pool.
I did see a video on YouTube which was recently uploaded in coronavirus and they were getting snacks like bau buns and desserts (which we don’t eat generally) for lunch and dinner. They were handing them over in sealed plastic containers.

I looked at some YouTube videos recently and it looks like a very trimmed down offering, however the price seems very trimmed down too. I used to find it was about £60 per night more than a normal room which has never been worth it for the two of us, however I have lately seen prices more like £20 more which even if we just get breakfast and some drinks might be worth our while.

Yes having looked at the prices its around £35 per person per night for us, for breakfast, beers, wines and the gym. We would do the breakfast but beers, wines and gyms no so much. I think we will give club a miss this year and just go for the standard, might get a room with a view instead as its for 5 nights.

I wouldn’t necessarily book a room with a view either. If there was a balcony to sit on then yes definitely but they don’t have balconies. I initially booked a water view room for our 7 nights but I changed it to standard. Money saved for elsewhere.

My only worry (and its a small one) we have done standard twice now and ended up on the very bottom floor and the view out of the window was bushes bushes and more bushes consequently the room was very dark. The first time was only for one night but the second time we asked to change to a higher floor and was told that the hotel was full so it was not possible.

As we are there for 5 nights this time it would be nice to look out on something instead of nothing.

You can put in a request ahead of time. We always ask for a high floor in tower 3 via this email address orlandoreservations@loewshotels.com

Just go back to reception and ask to be moved, say the room next door was loud or the room smelled musty, unless you are really unlucky and have checked-in late after absolutely everyone else has they will always have a different room to move you too.

We did this when our room was a bit too close to the pet rooms, and walking from room to breakfast each morning past the hordes of dog walkers bending over with their plastic bags after taking their little pooches out to do their business
