How do you bid to upgrade? I just get a Call here option when i click to upgrade seats.

Edit. Went through to the Virgin Atlantic site instead but got this message instead.

"Aah, sorry. We can’t offer you any upgrades through Your Bid this time. Do check for upgrade options in My Booking, or just ask us at the airport."

We kinda expect not to get it, which is fine as I expect due to a lot of people wanting to go in December and wanting a more comfortable seat, will bid.

Yeah i’m fully expecting not to get it but it would be such a lovely treat to a long awaited holiday if we do... although at this rate i’d go in the luggage hold just to get there 😂😂

I’ve done it and been successful. I bid the minimum to upgrade from a premium to Upper and got it. Was certainly a lot less than the UC flights were!

That's really good to hear - currently we are booked Premium and have bid £2000 for the 4 of us to fly home from Vegas overnight.

To pay to upgrade would be over £7500 extra so if I won and only paid £500 each I would be over the moon, especially as we could hopefully get a good sleep on such a long journey at the end of an amazing holiday

Plus its still months away but currently there are only 6 seats left in Premium but 29 available in upper class - hope this means we are in with a good chance of getting our upgrade
