The black bag idea is a good one but leave inside your door rather than outside as it could cause a security scare

I alway late any rubbish from my flight (and I dont have much to be honest) to cabin crew near the end of the flight with a small gift (Harrods chocolates usually) for them to share. I know form cabin crew friends who little things can make a huge difference to them

I lay as put my used towels and bedding etc into the tub each day - always have for some reason, Not sure if it makes anyone’s job easier but its my tidy mind

We try to keep our room as tidy as we can by putting clothes away, tidying up all our essentials, tidying bed and putting rubbish in bins ready to collect. Some good ideas here though for black bag, bin liners and gift for cabin crew especially when flights resume.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to give cabin crew a gift...normally a box of M&S biscuits going out, and a box of Krispy Kremes coming back... always gets appreciated.

I would never have thought of giving gifts to cabin crew. Not sure the pictures of aeroplanes my boys drew for them when we were delayed quite count.😬 What other gifts would people suggest?

M&S biscuits are a great idea. I usually only remember when in the airport for my flight out pop to duty free but will add M&S to my lust (given i live next door to a store) and buy a tin for my next flight 🙏👍. Krispy Kreme would then make it to the flight - I am afraid they would be devoured long before security 🐽

We are villa users (europe self catered accomm) we always strip the beds, ensure we have left the accomm clean and tidy (have paid for accomm cleaning) remove all rubbish and empty the fridge and clean it. And, clean the oven. Have arrived at so many places over the years and find a dirty oven.
Hotels, I always make the bed, and leave the room tidy for the housekeepers.

As a daughter of a hotel manager and worked in them myself for many years, please don’t leave bags of rubbish outside your door. Looks messy and a trip hazard. Housekeeping will mostly bring a bin bag in, so as long as your rubbish is in/on top of or next to the bin, then their job is easy.
Also bagging towels in a bin bag isn’t saving them any time either. Just creating more rubbish Dumping them all in the bath if used is the easiest thing.

Very good advice we leave rubbish in room next to bin once every 2 to 3 days then tell housekeeping or leave a note at front desk for housekeeping.

I always strip the beds and put our dirty towels and bedding in one pile after a stay aswel as keeping the room as tidy as possible.
I couldn't leave a mess like some guests leave.

It's the same as going out for dinner, I always put dirty food onto one plate and stack the rest and clear any mess our youngest (or husband) has made by dropping food.
Some of the states I've seen people leave with young children under the table is disgusting.
