Booking Room then adding Dining?
Morning All
I just want to see if I have understood this correctly before I go ahead and do it. If I book 2 rooms at CB for one person in each room, it will be £50pp deposit? Could I then add other people to my booking at a later date if a paid dining plan comes out for 2022? Or would I have to cancel the 2 rooms I have already reserved and make a fresh booking? I am tempted to book 2 rooms at CB now for the dates I want for Nov 22 as I’m looking for 2 water view rooms with the 5th sleeper and don’t want them to not have any left, but I don’t want to add all 6 guests on now. Can I do this? Sorry for all the questions 🙈 |

If it’s not an offer and just paid for DDP then yes, that should be no problem.

Just to add you won’t be able to make park reservations for everyone until you add them though. I realise that’s obvious but just in case you hadn’t thought about it.

Non of us know what’s in store for offers and how they’ll work.
Historically, you could NOT add free dining to an existing booking made in the UK. Booking rooms you want now and cancelling them doesn’t mean those rooms are immediately available in the system for you to re book with an offer either. Again historically, some rooms seem to be kept back and offered to travel agents and third parties to book and then after a short time frame these are then released back into the Disney main system so become available via Disney’s own website again. Room types come and go. I’d always say don’t hang around for the room you want if it’s available but I’d also say the scenario you’re considered almost definitely won’t work. Plus there’s the additional comment someone has already mentioned about not been able to add park reservations until everyone is on the booking. Now, some travel agents will say they can book a room and add on free dining if it becomes available. This was false and what they had to do was to cancel your booking and re book with free dining potentially loosing you the room and sometimes even the hotel of your choice. I’d also add that the third Thursday in April has been and gone now. This was the traditional date for free dining offers for the following year to be released. A betting person might day free dining will be back but it’s looking less and less likely for next year for UK visitors, or maybe a less valuable offer to us with reduced dates and limited room types. Ely all true but the OP asked about "Paid" dining plan & that can be added at anytime up until 48hrs before, as long as you have tickets as part of your package. You can also add additional guests up to the room occupancy so don't have to cancel but everyone in the room must be on the same "plan" if you can add DDP. Of course no DDP is available at the minute & I would expect this until they can increase capacity, conflicting rumours on this as far as '21 but it will IMO be back for '22. As far as Free, IMO '23 at the earliest if ever.

When we booked direct a couple of months ago they told me to keep an eye out for offers as I could add them at a later date to my booking if I’m eligible (hotel and park tickets I’m assuming) so adding on a paid for dining plan if available will be no problem.

My bad. I was reading what 99.99% of people write/ask as opposed to what was being asked!
