Second Booking Cancelled What to Do with 2018 special extended points?

Hello All
Hope you all well

Could i have your thoughts what best to do?

We bought a loaded SSR June Yr - 225 Points Contract last year. It had 165 banked points from 2018 ie 380 in total
We had planned in Using it at SSR April 2020, but Disney was closed and flights cancelled.
A special extension was applied to the 165 Banked 2018 points with use by 30 Nov 2020.

We had a prebooked stay for Copper Creek Oct 2020 using borrowed CCV points and DVC unborrowed them and transferred the SSR April points into this booking

BA have now cancelled our flights for Oct 2020

I now have these 165 expiring end of Nov

Should I try and rent them ? if so where best

Davids? DVCAPP? or Facebook

I suspect there may be other UK DVC owners in same boat
so will there be too much points coming to market to rent ?
Hence is it worth deposit into RCI ?

Thanks
Raj

I’ve rented our banked points that we wouldn’t use through the FB site. It’s free and worth a shot. You need to be realistic with the price though, at this time.

I’ve recently rented some of our points for $14. However, they weren’t distressed points.

I’d try your at $12 per point. Actual popular confirmed bookings go well rather than points.

As Caron said, the Facebook page is very active, lots of locals learning that they can get cheap onsite stays from renting distressed points.

I only had 13 I needed to get rid of so advertised them at $10 each - I'd booked a 1 night stay over thanksgiving - as I just wanted to get them rented asap with the least hassle, they were snapped up straight away.

I agree to aim for $12, maybe do a reservation over Halloween or Thanksgiving unless you still have your CCV reservation to rent out.

Good luck
