Christmas isn't always the best time to look for PE upgrade prices, although it is also a good time, 2 years ago I bagged econ upgrades 6 weeks before we went for £100 each, but going out in economy isn't as important to me as the return leg, two extra cases, more room in PE to settle for the overnight flight.

We are also a family of three and booked last night via the phone.

We booked row 80 in the Bubble (3 together upstairs), for both going out and return leg.
Did consider PE, but they were 2 4 2 configuration and we were already happy with our chosen Dibbers row (80) and can sit together.
