Jersey boomerangs

Seem to be some good prices for next summer from Jersey.

I know quite a few people did these flights last year.

Only return option is to LGW which is what we want but as long as we book the final leg LGW- Jersey the following day can we can collect our luggage at LGW and drop the last leg?

Also planning on doing Jersey and back in a day and LGW-MCO following day. I'm assuming that we wouldn't have to take our luggage to Jersey?

Thanks x

Based on other threads/our experience. If planning LGW to Jersey/return same day I wouldn't take luggage. Leave it at your LGW hotel, car, or home if close enough.

When returning from the US you should be able to check luggage to LGW, if asked tell check-in you'll need your luggage for LGW hotel, never tell an airline you're dropping the final leg as, per their T&Cs, they can reassess the fare.

Did these flights just double in price when the sale started?

I'm sure I saw the great prices you were talking about yesterday!

I would never do the jersey lgw bit in a day, jersey gets fog bound really frequently which delays flights in and out of the island (and has a knock on effect for the rest of the day) I would want a lot of leeway built in before I considered this

Ditto. I love holidaying in Jersey but would not do a boomerang from there unless like you say build a decent amount of leeway. Have encountered the fog rolling in on Jersey and been (severely) delayed.

We did these flights last year opting to do the jersey leg the day before. We left early, hired a car for the day, visited the beach and zoo and flew back to LGW, drove home as live 10 mins from terminal 5 and travelled to Miami the next day. We got great prices.

Thanks for the positive reply!
Hadn't thought about hiring a car, that's a great idea.
Holidayed in Jersey a couple of times so will be lovely to have a day trip followed by Orlando next day!
