It's not really a deposit Yorkshire T. You only get charged $10 (per person) for not showing up if you haven't previously cancelled.
I'd like to see BoG go up a few grades on the food because the present offerings are mediocre at best. Sticking something on a slice of puff pastry doesn' t make it gourmet. Beautiful surroundings not matched by the food. The breakfast we had there once was dire - sticking one spinach leaf on top of an egg does not make it "Florentine". It was over- priced for what we got. |

Gill - you forgot my favourite - Tarte Tatin!
If the menu was more akin to Remy's Bistro at DLP then they'd be making a great improvement. The steaks we had there were melt in the mouth. The accompanying Ratatouille was scrumptious. The desserts were fabulous. My Tarte Tatin with Chantilly cream: And not a cupcake in sight. A few prawns in a white sauce on puff pastry doesn't do it for me and certainly not at those prices. They have Americanised the menu.It should be French in origin. Also - never understood why they can't have Cogsworth and Lumiere at the meet and greet in the library at dinner. Would cover the fact that Belle is doing shifts over at Maurice's cottage. Edited at 08:36 AM. |

Tarte Tatin would have to be hot though - lovely though it is!
That reminds me of the joke about Darth Vader going into a French patisserie. The man behind the counter asks if he wants his usual order - 3 bread rolls and two tarte tatin? Vader says "How did you know?" and the guy replies "Pain, pain, pain, tarte tatin, tarte tatin" (you have to sing it to get it!)

Glad to see they officially announced some information about the changes. Even though there were the salty ones @chmurf whom choose to doubt the info I was offering I assure it's from the ground level. I've seen people announcing price officially announced and while it's kind of what was being expected I've been told they still haven't officially announced this to the cast there yet either so I'm not sure if that us subject to change.
