How much do you expect to pay for travel insurance?
Hi, with it coming up to the time our flights will be released, I've started looking for insurance, I don't want to pay anything out until I know I've got insurance in place.
How much would you expect to pay for travel insurance? I've found a policy with boots that's £150, has 5 stars with defaqto, and covers us for the full amount for cancellation, unlimited medical and has end supplier failure. There are 2 adults and 1 child. Does this sound about right? Thanks in advance. |

We paid £90 for Aviva for 5 star cover, for an annual policy and that covered a few pre existing conditions. £150 sounds very expensive.
I also got Quidco which brought it down again. We found travel insurance was more expensive via price comparison sites than going direct.

Ah, right, it does seem expensive compared to that, we've no existing conditions. I'll have a look for some more quotes and check out Aviva, thanks

We paid £160 for 3 adults and 1 child. 2 of us have fairly minor medical declarations and I did think it was on the expensive side but still the cheapest I could find.

We pay something similar to 7SeasSailor as my wife has pre-existing medical issues that we can't ignore.

Excited about Disney

I paid £150 with Boots for 2A & 2C but that was with 3 declared medical conditions and their top level of insurance. I could have paid £120 for the next level down, still £10 million medical but with excesses and not quite so many things covered.
