another Q about alcohol on the new dining plan
this is about QS meals and not TS
I was wondering if all alcohol is opened or will be opened when you order, especially in the park locations (beer bottles / cans and such) very simply I might want to get the beer but take it back to our room for later but I think Disney might want to see you with drink in restaurant so they know it's not being passed over to minors does anyone know |

In park locations beers & alcohol drinks are usually served in plastic cups, so wouldn't really work anyway.
You can get bottles & cans in the resort food courts. I have bought from there before to take to the pool etc. and never been made to open them. I don't know if the new changes have affected this though.

I asked this question when someone on an FB group said their hubby had got a beer with breakfast at POFQ. Apparently he did open it at the time, but his wife didn't seem to think they cared whether you did that or not.

Another alcohol question. On the QS plan, can you only get alcohol as part of a meal or can you use a snack credit for one too?

It's only as part of a meal I'm afraid!

You can not take any alcohol out of a park (or into for that matter), and it has to be opened for you.
This is the rules of the alcohol licence for each park and it is strictly enforced. Even at a Resort bar they are not allowed to serve you a bottled beer unopened to take back to the room. They have to open it for you.

In POR food court and shop we bought beers to take back to the room unopened.
I know this isn’t relevant to the qsdp alcohol though. |

Miller/Bud/Coors Lite are twist-tops anyway...
In previous visits, when *buying* a beer to go with my QSDP meal in food courts, I didn't have to open it at the till. Will be good this August to have a free Coors Lite with my meal Obviously if buying in the parks, they're opened (I can't remember if decanted into a plastic cup) at purchase.
