Chane of surname and esta

Hello,

Ive booked a package with car hire through BA in my previous surname, so because ive updated my drivers licence ill have to update BA, so should i hold off doing my esta until everything is in my new name? Have to apply for a new passport also...

Your final question suggests that the key thing is applying for a new passport. New passport = new ESTA.

I've never had to do a holiday name change - had this one for 75 years. But certainly you'll need a valid D/L to hire the car so I imagine you'll need to notify BA to amend the actual holiday booking.

Sadly nothing comes free.

PS You don't need to tell BA of new passport details until you do API and in the current situation I suggest don't even think about it
