Having trouble contacting BA (who isn't)

Saturday morning I got the dreaded email cancelling my outbound flight.

I tried to ring BA to find out what happens next but all I got was if your travel is 8 weeks then please ring back later and then they ended the call. My travel is 5 weeks, sorry was 5 weeks.

I eventually got on the chat only to be disconnected halfway through changing my booking and it has taken me since then to even get back in the chat.

I am now sitting for the third time in a row starting at 'you are number 45 in the queue' both times I got down to number 1 and the chat was ended (certainly not by me).

I just want a complete refund, the chap did get as far as telling me on Saturday that the drive part was not cancelled and won't be unless they speak to me, what use is the drive part of a fly-drive when you have cancelled the flights. Also my email says 'your outbound flight has been cancelled but we have found an alternative here are the details and they have quoted me my return flights.

How difficult was that.

Finally at third attempt got through and it literally took him less than two minutes to confirm details and tell me my deposit will be refunded back to my account within 10 days.
