PS

The web site I posted earlier also has this page that shows all the toll roads and the few that are cashless (totally cashless rather than unmanned)

sunpass/en/about/whe...eSunPass.shtml

If you're really bored and if it's the first time driving in Florida I'll happily link the DIBB driving guide to which I've added bits over the years.

I sincerely hope that you've upgraded the insurance with the car through VH? They are seriously notorious for only providing $25k SLI instead of $1m in their basic offer. Have an accident and injure someone that was your fault with only $25k = hello bankruptcy.

Also if you do online check in with Alamo you can skip the terminal desk and go straight to the garage (A or B) and pick your own car.

After 37 visits and hiring a car every time it's the only subject I'm reasonably confident posting about. Maybe Longhorn Steakhouse and visiting B&BW shops as well.

Never spent a single night in a WDW hotel so never post about DDP et al.

Apart from MVMCP in 2014 we haven't visited a park since 2010 so you never see me on the Fast Pass threads.

But I have driven over 50,000 miles out there I guess exploring the other 65,700 square miles that Florida has to offer. So any opportunity when I see a car hire and driving thread - I'm on it.

We used to stick to the cash tolls or tollless roads, but last time we got the VTP, and it was so easy. We'll definitely be getting it again

As I've mentioned in my "big VTP" thread we've signed up again for November but will we make it?

Still only side A for collection but I'll happily overcome that walk if we get there.

Thank you and yes... I have upgraded to VH gold Plus or whatever it is. Covers everything I believe...

Mike

Happy to oblige - all DIBB guides are in the DIBB Guidebook menu.

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Dri...-USA-p-84.html

Just out of interest the majority of DIBB guides are prepared, edited and updated by Dibbers.

I would certainly use VTP, not had the chance to use it yet, but it seems easy, it's free and will give you the best price. Last trip I stupidly thought the tolls would take card, I scrapped together the change I had which wasn't enough but they let us through and told us to come off at the next exit and we went to a mall and got cash out, to then get to a unmanned toll booth at ramp back onto the road that was something like 75cents and it only took coins, which I used all of mine at the previous toll! Ended up driving through and nothing happened from it, but the VTP will certainly solve those headaches.
