Not quite a board game, but we love 'sussed?' - such a fun family card game and always prompts hilarious conversation.

We are addicted to one night ultimate werewolf. It sparks the best conversations and you get to try and figure out who is telling the truth. its a short game so you can play a few sessions but its really really good. can find it on ebay or amazon but probably not in smyths. loads of examples on youtube of people playing it. we watched the cast of shadowhunters playing it.

Good choice! We love sequence and many of the others mentioned on this thread. My new favourite game is called Beat That! It’s not a board game in the traditional sense but a series of challenges to do- the box is full of ping-pong balls, stacking cups, chop sticks etc. amazon/Beat-That-Bon.../dp/B07Z5BRRF7
