Flying from Scotland

Hi folks.

Trying to plan a trip for April next year flying from Scotland 1st to 18th.

Every year it seems to get more tricky getting good flights.

Only options seem to be the indirect with best being via Iceland. Having done that last year I'd rather avoid it but there doesn't seem to be a better option.

Any good ideas and why is it getting so hard to get direct to Orlando from Scotland!

Thanks.

Because we’re down to Tui and Virgin for direct and I don’t think either fly in April.

Hi, can I ask why you don’t want to go via Iceland again? I am close to booking flights and it’s that route. Thanks.

VA direct from Glasgow but not on those dates.

BA via LGW or LHR.

AA from Edinburgh via Philadelphia

KLM via Amsterdam

Not sure on TUI.

Other US carriers Delta, United etc

Icelandair as you mentioned.

Only direct are VA and TUI.

We always do BA via london. It’s suits us and I don’t care which London airport it is.

Virgin from Glasgow next year has flights leaving on a Wednesday and Saturday, returning from MCO on a Tuesday and Friday. Tui don't usually start till May and will be flying from Glasgow to Melbourne.

We just booked these dates with BA but need to fly Edin- Heathrow -Orlando.
There were no direct flights available for those dates & we have done the London root loads so we’re happy with it.

Yeh, don't worry about it - it will be fine.

I was hoping to avoid it due to the flight times. The flight to Iceland from Glasgow is after 1pm our time and you don't get into MCO until late at night.

In the good old days you would get into MCO (or Sanford) in late afternoon and it makes a big difference.
