Hertz - would you recommend?
Only ever been to Orlando twice and both times hires with Alamo but their price for 5 days for a small car is way way more than Hertz, even through Andy. I know Hertz doesn't have skip the counter but the price difference is significant so can't justify paying the extra for Alamo for that alone. Having no experience of Hertz car quality and service as well as speed of collecting the car, I was hoping someone on here could share their experience?

They do have skip the counter but you don’t get to select the car, well not in the same way as Alamo. You need to sign up to their loyalty club prior to booking. We’ve used them loads and always been fine.

Bookings through 3rd parties have no way to link reservations to gold membership unfortunately.

Hertz are my preferred car option, we've done loads of rentals from MCO with them.

I've used Hertz before with no issue and have them booked again for when I go ( fingers and everything else possible crossed ) in October and it saved me approx £400 over Alamo

Prices are crazy at the min. Hoping they come down as more cars start coming off the production line.

I agree prices do look crazy at the moment.
I booked a Medium Luxury SUV for 30/6/2022 to 21/7/2022 for £682 for the three weeks a month or so ago... I keep checking prices because its a cancellable booking and its gone up on Hertz to over £1800! I guess thats an indication they are 'full' for our dates and dont really want any more bookings... unless at price gouging rates! I'll be keeping our booking at the price I got for the time being for sure!
