Aulani Hawaii

Hi,
We have booked Aulani for April 22, has anyone got any tips for the resort or what to do on the island with kids aged 7 and 11?
Thank you 😊

Hiya, I haven't been but PC Dev on YouTube is there just now and has been vlogging from the hotel. Might help you get a feel for the area. I have to admit the my go to is often YouTube for the videos that are kicking about. I like him as he is normally a Orlando Vlogger.

It looks like a pretty hotel.

The Jurassic tour and the Dole pineapple factory are fun. I wasn't a big fan on Waikiki tbh, hectic traffic in the area and it was a bit Vegas by the sea. L&R Dreaming have a vlog on Youtube with detailed footage of the resort as well as the pineapple factory and some other locale activities they did.

Thank you, I’ll check his Vlogs out 🙂

Would fully endorse watching PCDev, not only for Aulani but also all things Orlando. The man (and Bianca his fiance) seems so nice and genuine
Mind you after watching their Aulani Vlog we priced up a similar room. Eye wateringly expensive is putting it mildly!

Depends on timings and budget but we stayed on Kauai and did a trip to the volcano National park on big island - was absolutely incredible as we were lucky enough to the bubbling orange molten lava in the crater! Otherwise boat trips are great, snorkelling with the the turtles, beaches - and don't forget to just enjoy the hotel!

It wasn’t active when we visited in 2017 and 2018. We spent a week on Big Island and it was amazing but depending on how much time you have I wouldn’t make a trip to Big Island unless you have a good amount of time to spare.

We’ve been to Aulani twice and it is lovely but very expensive and I’m sure we wouldn’t have found it value for money if we hadn’t had DVC points which ‘paid’ for it.

My tips would be to cross the street to the marketplace and buy snacks / drinks / breakfast / dinner there (five min walk) rather than just stay exclusively at Aulani.

Personally unless you’re going to the north shore anyway I would skip the Dole plantation
