It’s not like they are giving an extra perk to deluxe guests though which would be understandable. They are giving the same perk that used to be available to all pre covid and taking away from the rest of the guests.

Also did anyone notice at the bottom of that page, they mention dining plans will return at some point? 😀

Looking forward to hearing more about this hopefully soon. We have DVC stays at SSR and OKW in Oct so this would be amazing.

Not sure it is because I have a value booked for next year (could never afford a deluxe), but pre-covid didn't all onsite guests get extra magic hours as a perk and now it will only be deluxe guests that get the evening extra magic hours as a perk!? Leaves a bad taste for sure but like many will probably still go to WDW when I can.

Yes, they did - but extra magic hours were fixed to a particular park and it tended to be either morning or evenings sometimes. At least with the new Extra Morning Hours they’ll be available across all parks, rather than just one, so all onsite guests will be dispersed across 4 parks instead of one.
So I do think the new system will be better. Admittedly, if it applies to DVC then it does benefit me - but as YT has alluded to, since the pandemic DVC has stripped back quite a few of the member perks - the exclusive evening events seemed to drop off the face of the earth and the BLT member lounge was closed for ages (still is closed I think?) but we all still had to pay dues pretty much as if nothing had changed 😂 |

That's correct.
I can see the logic behind it as there's very little incentive to stay deluxe IMO. The rooms aren't significantly better, don't care about the pools and everything else is available for all visitors. I know I'll get arguments from deluxe location fans but I've personally had very little issue with Disney transport. I'm not paying 3x the price to save maybe 10 minutes per trip. And with more DVC rooms being built/coverted, it's a good sales pitch for that side. |

Things change , Disney announced a lot of these change pre pandemic to reduce crowds etc so it’s not surprising if I’m honest .
