Happily Ever After stopping for 18months

Hi..you may already know this but I only discovered the news yesterday, when watching a blog by Super Enthused that Happily Ever after is stopping at the end of Sept this year and won’t return until 2023 if it returns at all. In October Disney will be launching their new 50th Anniversary fireworks Enchantment which will stay for 18months.
I am devastated..we have booked for October 2022 but the thing I was absolutely looking forward to was Happily Ever After and now it won’t be showing..I love those fireworks but have never seen them live, despite visiting WDW 25 times, I watch them all the time on YouTube and was thrilled when they relaunched them..I seriously wanted to cry yesterday when I heard..and then I did cry when I saw them on every vloggers post showing them returning…😢😢

I'm still hoping they'll bring back Wishes when the anniversary show is over, Happily Ever After was just missing something for me.

How could you not expect them to do something for the 50th though? I think it will be back after 18 months. You never know, you may love the new show. Have to give it a chance.

Everyone who has seen Happy Ever After will have amazing memories of it. Vloggers (such as Paging Mr Morrow and Super Enthused) have posted videos this weekend on YouTube with Happy Ever After back again.

And yes, Wishes was just wonderful.

The 50th Celebrations are going to be nothing short of spectacular. From what I've seen, the projections are now also going to run down Main Street... just imagine that! Are you? Emotional yet? I can't begin to think of how goosebumpy that is going to be.

Disney are a wonder at keeping the nostalgic feel good factor while introducing new and wonderful ways to provide oodles of new memory moments. (unlike Universal who seem to go for the rip them out and chuck something else in mentality - Jimmy Fallon, Simpsons and Fast & Furious.. I rest my case).

Anyway... enjoy enjoy enjoy!

I agree.
With HEA both the fireworks and the projections are amazing but I never thought they worked well together. Plus everyone crushed into the hub area it could be really unpleasant.
Hopefully with the new show doing main street projections too the crowds will be able to spread out a bit more.
