Manny’s Haines City?

We went to the Manny's on the 192 twice last trip. First time was fantastic hence why we went again but second time was the worst meal of the trip.

We have free tickets for Busch Gardens so I’m thinking of trying the original Manny’s Haines City. Is it worth the detour? Always heard it’s the best one. Is the detour fairly easy?

We stay in Champions Gate area so always go to Haines City haven't been to the one on 192. I would say it is very authentic. Lots of locals there. Staff are great. Sometimes we have had a short wait. Food is fab couldn't recommend it highly enough. Hubbie loves the large beers. It's a big hit with our family.

We've eaten at Manny's at Haines City around 20 times and never really had a bad meal. Our only perception is that even if you ring ahead you'll probably still wait for over 20 minutes to get a table. Usually full of locals so very popular.

Eaten at the "newish" one on 192 about 3 times. First time they'd only been open a few weeks and it was awful. Third time it was one of the best meals of the holiday. Usually a walk-up and seated straight away at 192 which might say something.

The ambience at Haines is very different to the likes of Texas and Longhorn and worth a trip just for that. Wouldn't really say the steaks are better.

Not sure how you plan to get to BG? If it's down the 27 to the I-4 at Posner then Manny's at Haines is maybe 8 miles further south so a "detour" of around 16 miles. Or you could go west on the 92 from Haines and cut the corner and pick up the I-4 at Lakeland.

Thanks Mick. To be honest it would be whichever way the sat Nav takes me So call ahead is advisable? Is that usually half an hour or so before?

Where are you staying when doing the BG trip? Can't help with satnav I'm afraid as we never use one but I guess using 27 might work.

We've stayed in the Highgate Park area which is on 27 just south of 192 around 20 times so we've always travelled to Haines from there. We ring ahead then leave on a 20/25 minute journey. Then inevitably wait for 20/25 minutes when we get there.

Always "heaving" when you get inside to report in and we usually have to sit outside with the "zapper"

Satnav may take you back from BG via I-4 anyway and then just a short bit across to Manny's at Haines. Leaving Manny's just straight up the 27 to the 192 or pick up I-4 at Posner. Maybe just trust satnav.

Anyway to get you in the mood

You won't believe this Jo but would you believe that I've heard of some Dibbers who "collect" state reg. plates actually count those on the wall at Manny's.

Noooo, that's cheating. Mind you if they have an Hawaii I might be tempted. It's the only one I have never seen. I know you have seen it twice
