Mobile Tavel insurance - basic or comp?

I have travel insurance through my bank, so don’t normally have to buy it. But, with Covid, I’m probably going to take out a Stay Sure policy. Can anyone advise if best to take the comp cover? Or is basic ample? Thanks!

We take out their Comprehensive - mainly because we're both 75 and both post-cancer. We have unlimited medical cover and zero excess on every item.

We do have to pay around £850 a year for annual cover though and I test the market thoroughly every year.

We also have comprehensive, I worked in travel and medical insurance and found it to be a very good policy.

PS

It's now valid again of course since the USA was taken off the FCDO "don't travel" list. All we want now is for Joe to let us in without staying in Mexico for 2 weeks.

Thank you both. There is £100 of difference between the two - probably worth it for the peace of mind. Paying just shy of £400 for us - sign of getting older with pre-existing conditions 😂

We got a 25% discount by going via Topcashback for our annual policy & 15 months for the price of 12.

We are getting a bit older too and have pre-existing conditions which are covered. Maybe worth having a look?

Actually didn’t think of checking the cash back sites! Thank you! Will definitely have a look tomorrow. Yes, old(er) age doesn’t come itself
