I honestly haven't got a clue but I really hope so for everyone who wants to go
I wonder what it will be like over there if it's ok to travel. Will it be hectic or will they limit the number of guest. Anyone have any idea?

Think it will still be very much country dependent but with more options opening up as time goes on. So, for example, I have slightly more faith that we will be getting to Tenerife in January (albeit still think it is 50:50) than skiing in french alps in March (30:70). By next summer I’d like to think it will be generally easier but who knows..

I’ve been hoping so for so long, but even if I can go on my January holiday to Banff, I don’t think it’s going to be the holiday I want. At the risk of sounding selfish, I don’t want to wear a mask for 9 hours on the plane, I would sooner not go. If social distancing is still a thing I can see ski lift lines being long, and either queues for restaurants will be long or there will be lots of booking in advance. We’re considering deferring to January 2023.
I keep thinking about Spanish flu, and how long the pandemic lasted (without the current levels of societal travel and interaction), and the fact the flu we see every winter is still a strain of that virus. Covid is here for the long term, it’s a question of how it may mutate and how it’s dealt with.

We're booked April too and I'm not sure. We're not telling the kids and we haven't bought anything specifically for Florida, Disney pins to trade etc. We've been looking at booking a UK holiday in the Summer just in case but haven't pulled the trigger on that one yet.
We're in the mindset that if we go that will be amazing, but we're not putting all our eggs in one basket. That said I do fear for the travel industry, I worry holidays are going to be priced out for a lot of people for a long time after this to make up for the shortfall. Honestly until we start making long term plans to deal with this, building dedicated covid wards in hospitals, retroactively fitting filters in schools, offices and other indoor places, normalising being off school/work if you are ill rather than 'stiff upper lip' I don't see how this will ever properly end. Yes it will be expensive, but I think it is clear this isn't going to go away and we need to learn to live with it (not just ignore it and go back to normal) and long term it will be cheaper than constantly shutting down the economy. We have just moved our Greece holiday from august to 2022 which means won’t be planning Florida until 2023. Gutted to be delaying another year but want to plan properly with everything back to normal or whatever normal will be.
Hoping to go to Miami for the F1 though. |

I hope so, but reality is who knows, I’m not feeling very optimistic. We postponed our Florida trip from 2019 to 2020 and then to 2021. Luckily the children did nt know we had booked. Wondering about whether to book a UK back up trip for next Aug
