Dr JJ

You may know that I check the VTP site daily and, at the minute, we'll still have to walk over to side A to collect the tag. Hopefully when they open to international flights they will add side B collection.

If it comes down to it I'll walk to A if I have to.

5th November to 19th. All logic tells me that double jabbed and restrictions being lifted there can be no reson for people to come in with "Cant see it", "Everything tells me" and "No way are the borders going to be open".
What gives them the criteria to make these statements?
We are going in November and if anyone knocks the positivity in this thread, I will relentlessly go on the offensive about the resons.
However back to a well-needed thread. 3 nights ASMusic, 3 night AofA, and 4 nights 1BRVilla AKL. Booked it before the pandemic, and cant wait. Knock our november trips if you dare

Can I join?

We are going 22nd November, do have a few wobbles now and again but get motivated by threads like these. DMIL here for weekend and we will be in planning mode!

Noticed from previous thread, think it was Mick, about B.A possibly changing departure airport. Are B.A doing this then? I have booked airport hotel at Heathrow but may also book through booking.com at Gatwick to be able to cancel if that is the case. Thanks

Sue

6-19 November for me! I can’t wait! Third time booking as well. 8 nights at the Rosen LBV then 5 at PORFQ. Still to book tickets, airport hotel and parking but otherwise I’m there!

I have days where I doubt it will happen, then I remember November is 5 months away, and anything can happen.

Love the positivity, keep it going!

i’m here for the positive vibes !
i really believe that Joe will allow travel around nov/dec as he knows that families need to see each other and vaccinations will be higher by then too , any big waves might be on the decrease .. i’m no expert , these are just my spidey senses , i’m booked for 30 nov for 10 days and i cannot wait ! everything is paid for with free cancellation and flights booked directly with BA , we are going people ! it’s happening !

We are due to go early November for a month! Keeping everything crossed.🤞🍀 Can’t see any real reason to not open the borders now, with cases rising but being managed through vacations? X

2nd November - 23rd November here we're doing Disney, Universal, a Disney Cruise and then flying to Vegas for 4 nights at the end of our holiday. I'm feeling positive that we'll get to Florida but I'm having a bit of a wobble about the cruise... we'll be double jabbed by then but DCL are only accepting proof of vaccination for US guests. Having to get tested before is making me a bit anxious in case one of us tests positive!

So I'm considering switching plans around and flying to LA before Vegas and doing a few days in Disneyland instead of the cruise. Either way, I can't wait and keeping everything crossed that it'll happen 🤞

Hopefully someone with factual knowledge rather than speculative rumour, about scheduled flights will spot this and add more credibility to my post.

Way way back in April 2020 BA announced (or leaked ) a statement from their then CEO saying that they were basically pulling out of LGW and consolidating into LHR. Ever since then they seem to have been selling seats from both LHR and LGW to MCO. Our Nov 2020 flight was originally from LHR then changed to LGW then inevitably cancelled of course. They still seem to be selling some flights to MCO from both but will they operate two flights a day to MCO? More likely they will consolidate in my opinion.

Having had 3 flights cancelled already we always book cancellable airport hotels and car parking.

Mick

PS This is still a positive post in reply to a genuine question - I'm not a troll
