It isn't odd it is normal - there are many threads on the Dibb about clearing customs and immigration at the first airport of arrival in the US and then identifying and transferring your luggage for your onbound flight.
On the return journey yes it will go through to your arrival airport - for example - LHR-PHL-MCO identify and pick up luggage in PHL drop off at transfer point then go to the gate for your onbound flight - MCO-PHL-LHR check luggage in at MCO pick up in LHR. At least you know now for your next indirect flight Edited at 05:22 PM. |
