Always the best day of the Orlando phase of our vacation.
I did not know about it on my first vacation, but have purchased a D.C. ultimate, (generally non swim with Dolphins) on all 8 since.

That ticket is our single ‘must buy’ and then we debate on the other one between Universal (with night in RPR) and Disney… picking Universal the last 5 times.

The day in D.C. is a fantastic bargain, with all (pretty decent) food, snacks etc included as well as drinks, beer and wine.
It has a low capacity, never feels overcrowded and is just a relaxing, lazy day… a rest day if you like!.. and then you have 14 days BG, SW and AQ with free parking thrown in… The best Coasters IMHO in Florida.

Whilst it is clearly a park and is, along with the rest of its sister parks, set up to make money, on this day, you never feel that you are being gouged and overcharged every time that you draw breath.

I agree with Baconandavocado about the Dolphin bit. It simply doesn’t do it for me.

Thanks all, seriously considering it now. Will do some more research into its suitability for a baby 😊

It's beautiful, I wouldn't do dolphin swim again but I'm glad I've done it, (and got the photos).

Love Discovery Cove. We have done the dolphin swim twice (with different people, once with family, once with friends). The other times we have visited we do the "non dolphin" swim. Its an excellent day.

First time we went DS was too young for the dolphin swim but we still has a great day. The only thing I would say is the reef is lovely and we spent a lot of time there but with a little one you would be swapping over so wouldn't be able to do it together. There is a beach though so one of you could play with your lo while the other swims.

The Trackers have a vlog where they took their son Jackson when he was little I think around a year old I’m not sure but he was pretty young. You should check it out and it would help give you an idea.

We love discovery cove I’ve done it 3 times now and we’re planning my 4th trip, hubbies 2nd and our daughters 1st trip for June!

Definitely a more relaxing day than lying by the pool!

Maybe I'm being a bit picky but last time I was there it didn't seem as well kept. For example loads of plastic cups floating around the pools near the lazy river. Maybe unlucky.

Been three times and won't so the dolphin swim. The thing where they put the helmet on and you go down was cool though.

There is some extremely shallow, warm water where the tunnel part of the lazy river begins. It is an area that never gets very busy and with a food stand next to it.

The ray pool starts at a depth of zero and there is plenty of water at less than 18 inches deep, with Cow Rays swimming in, out and around your feet.

The aviary is very good indeed, with bird feed being handed out to all who want it.

I would say that a lot of it is extremely suitable for a sub two year old.

My family loved it I hated it. Long wait for your breakfast and it reminded me off school dinners and you would not want to go up for seconds.
I felt sorry for the dolphin that he had to drag me around. I hope he enjoyed it.
We had the package which included free premium beers which is now an add on. Only problem I drive. The snacks were ok. Parking was free.
Next time I’m off to play golf on my own and the gang will have a much nicer day without me as will the dolphin.
