I had my return home test 9 days ago at a drive thru place on a piece of land next to the Kissimmee Old Town on the 192. Had the antigen test and got my result in 30 minutes. Cost $95 and no appointment was required.

I was happy to just get it done that way and at that price as the likes of Walgreens and CVS were offering tests but you either had to have US insurance details or make an online payment only which just wouldn’t go through with a UK credit card.

£25 ish for the test
I’m not sure that taking your own test is wise as the UK government insist on a test certificate including information such as the supervising doctor.

It definitely did. All the state run sites have closed as far as I know.

No they don’t insist on them being supervised. you do get a test certificate with these. Lots of people using these and travelling. As long as it is approved by UK government, which they are , they can be used.

Fair enough, I stand corrected and wish I’d known that before we travelled as would have saved time and money. We have trips booked in September and November so will look at what you suggest for both those thanks.

Not sure if you are on Facebook, I rarely go on but there is a group called covid 19 travel help and advice. Really good group and lots of experience and help using the tests I posted earlier. Particularly the living care test.

Cheapest tests to do prior to heading back to the U.K. are with chronomics using the code BritishAirways17 which brings it down to £10.

chronomics/test-to-return

These are government approved tests for returning to U.K. that you buy before you go. Under 10 years old don’t need to take these.

Is this a video call one? I am wondering if the airports would be OK with you taking the tests In hand luggage in case your suitcase went missing?!

I think these are the upload photo ones too rather than video calls. Tui has a deal with them. I don’t see why they can’t go in hand luggage. Might have to take the solution out of the box and put with any other liquids.
