Excited about Disney

Can't decide! Help please!
We are off on our third trip first two weeks in July this year. We are not doing Disney (or Universal) as we will be doing Busch gardens, aquatica etc and exploring Florida more.
However, for a little Disney fix I am going to book an ADR for dinner at one of the resorts and watch the fireworks afterwards. Will be paying OOP so the really expensive ones are probably out of reach. So here's the dilemma, which resort? Which restaurant? I've read every menu and looked at GF, Poly and contemporary but still can't decide. Leaning towards GF cafe or Ohanas but I just can't make the decision. Any recommendations please fellow Dibbers? Thank you in advance |

Well I would pick California Grill or Narcoossee but they are the more expensive ones. So I think that rules Contemporary resort out because you can’t go up to watch the fireworks unless you eat at CG and I didn’t particularly notice any other decent viewing spots from the hotel. Perhaps something at the Poly and then watch from the beach afterwards would be best option.

If you get a window table at Ohana, you can watch the fireworks while you eat. Or go for an earlier reservation (so you don't have to worry about getting a good table) and then watch from the beach.
My personal choice would be Kona at the Poly, followed by GFC. I'd also rate the Wave for food but as above, not sure what viewing area you'd get from CR afterwards. Tim Tracker did a NYE video there and he was just standing in the parking lot so I think that's your option if you can't access the CG or TOTW viewing areas. |

I've just had a look at the Kona which looks a good possibility. I have two fairly fussy eaters so as well as cost I'm aware that some of the more expensive menus just don't have plain enough food to suit. If I go for GFC can we see the fireworks from a beach area?

Just to throw another in there... where we in same situation and chose Trails End - nice report to explore, we did the free round boat ride to MK / Contemporary (which we also explored), which you can time to coincide with fwks and water pageant, which we watched from the shore, and it's an all you can eat buffett!

GF café and then walk to boat dock to watch fireworks or The Wave and then up to the skyway bridge between Contemporary and BLT for the fireworks.
