Mobile Alamo 7 seat minivan

We're off back to Orlando in June 😃😃😃 and originally it was 7 of us so I booked the 7 seat mini van through Alamo. Fast forward a few months and we are now also taking eldest sons girlfriend. Has anyone had an 8 seater in this class or do I need to rebook as an 8 seat? I'm hoping not because it's coming in at double the price of the 7 seater 😩

It's very doubtful that you'll get an 8 seater people carrier as they fall under a different category. You could risk it and upgrade locally but if they realise you need an 8 seater they probably won't move too much on the price. imo, best to book the vehicle you need.

Can you book 2 smaller vehicles? With a large party, it would allow people to go off and do different things, and will be cheaper than the next size up from the 7 seater minivan. We were 5 adults in 2014 and hired 2 cars, and it was great as we didn't all want to do the same things everyday.

It has to be 1 car unfortunately as it's only me that does the driving. I really torn on wether to take the chance or not as it's about £700 more for the bigger car for 3 weeks.
Someone mentioned that Alamo were getting Pacificas in that group and when I've looked are 8 seats.

I don't think you will find the 8 seater Pacifica as that's the special edition with the sunroof removed ref seat belt issues.
Doubt they will pay extra for that model to be in the fleet when they already have the Sienna and Odyessy

I don't honestly think its a chance you can take - but I wouldn't be paying £700 either, unless literally no one else in the group has a driving licence, I'd be telling someone else to man up and drive so you could hire two cars. It isn't fair for the driving to all fall on one person.

Where are you staying? If you're in Disney, the other option would be to get the Magical Express to the hotel and use WDW transportation if all going out together, but it would mean you couldn't all go out together in the car.

We are in a villa so need a car unfortunately. I currently have the car booked with Alamo brits but I've seen a reasonable price for a 8 seater with someone called fox car rental through rental cars.com. Has anyone had and experience of them?
I'd also have to decide whether to take the risk of just basic insurance or pay extra unlike Alamo. It's still a decent deal with the cwd etc. Thanks for the input guys

Have a Google of Fox Rental Car Reviews

I will let you make your own mind up, I know my view would be not a chance in hell.
