Bacon and maple syrup I'm fine with but eggs, potatoes etc with syrup... I will definitely be asking for separate plates this year

I always say when in Rome (or the US in this case) You need to try a dish of wallpaper paste (sorry grits) on the side as well 😀

Just stick to grits, you cant go wrong with them!

I cant put bacon near maple syrup, pancakes yes, not with bacon! I don't even like apple sauce with pork here.

I'm the same! Before I went to the US the thought of pancakes with bacon or sausage filled me with horror. Now I'm hooked but... the syrup NEVER touches the sausages/bacon (you put the syrup on yourself).

And while I'm at it, what is that round white blob (like a little scoop of ice cream, but not) I keep seeing on pancakes, toast, and even steak? Is it butter?
I'm the same... pancakes have to be on a different plate, sausage bacon and eggs on the same plate as pancakes is a big no no for me,it's just wrong.

LI don't mind at all if everything is on the same plate, but I only put syrup on the pancakes or French toast, not on the meat. Yum, syrup and pancakes

My wife was the same and now she enjoys a McD's breakfast. Don't be afraid of trying new things.
