I'd second the suggestion to consider the quick service dining plan. The exchange rate is so bad these days that it can actually be a good deal and would give you piece of mind.

It is £1385 on Disney's website for Quick Service Plan this year and £1735 for next year.
Someone has either made a mistake in the quote they gave you or they are taking the p***! |

Excited about Disney

At QS places the meals are often big enough to share or order a kids' meal as they're cheaper and usually quite plentiful.

Another one who was going to mention purchasing the Quick Service Dining Plan, it is definitely £1385 for this year.
You'll get 2 Snack Credits (Milk & Cereal) which sorts your breakfast out, 2 Quick Service Credits (Lunch & Dinner) plus the refillable mug which sorts your drinks out and you'll still have £115 of your £1500 left. Surely worth considering? On another note I think the 60 days out is for Fastpass not Dining Reservations? |

possibly it was a mistake on their part quoting next years prices, the wife is also in agreement that breakfast in the room is fine and given the fact just about every meal would then be quick service is there a benefit to buying this rather than taking cash and buying it as we need QS? Thanks everyone I have never been on such an active/friendly forum!

With the rate of exchange, I would think so. We bought the regular dining plan and that was worth it. We also checked using Quick Service Plan and for two adults, three children 13, 9 and 6, it would be beneficial.
Loves2plan's dining reports will illustrate how to use the Quick Service Plan best. I would always prefer to buy the dining plan. The drinking mugs make good souvenirs and any extra meals or snack credit can be exchanged for Disney sweets which are nice gifts. |
