Hot Drinks in Refillable Disney Mugs

It's a shame but like the water parks I feel the refillable mugs will disappear in the future, I seen too many people filling there own travel cups/flasks with coffee in the morning and this was before the tills opened for breakfast before 7am. I noticed security were there one morning so they must be aware of it.

If you take your mug with you and a diff one for a hot drink are they OK? Never occurred to me about the flavour lingering and don't wanna do that! Lol

Also they topped up the disposable cups in the room at both Disney and universal, so often just took one of them with me, unless made one in the room.

When I tried to do this at cabana bay they were the opposite. Two separate occasions with different team members they refused. I ended up taking down the cups from the room in the morning

There used to be a time when the coffee and hot water (for tea) was available for anyone to use, not just those with the refillable mugs.

I remember staying at CBR around 11 years ago and they had a table set up with coffee/tea and paper cups just outside the quick service area. Other offsite hotels also tend to do something similar.

They do this at okw . They have paper cups available for tea and coffee at the qs.

Ah ok. I wouldn't be surprised if they still did it at CBR and others.

In which case, this implies it is free for any guest of the resort to have this coffee/tea. It's perfectly fine for them to fill their own travel cups, so they don't use/waste a paper cup.

Not the case at cbr as we’re there now but there’s no one ever monitoring the qs drinks station so who knows what folk get up to.

Just to update :
Not Disney but endless summer have now stopped doing hot drinks in the reusable cups but have no advertising to say so.
Front desk just gave me some vouchers for Starbucks but I’m not happy
