Afraid we are the ones who fell out with Virgin some years ago. Treated abysmally in UC. Mind you had some recent fun with BA cancelling a flight back on us from Barcelona in January. Really had to fight them to get the compensation we were entitled to. So I guess every airline has its faults from time to time.

We travel Club World with BA (because we choose to) to wherever we go so can't comment on World Traveller Plus (PE) and will be doing the Tampa route next year. We always wait for the sales and always get a good price (way below VA). The best was to Tokyo for a third of the normal fare.

At the end of the day, planes are a means to an end but I do see them as an integral part of the holiday. I wouldn't want to be in a cramped seat. So I guess it all comes down to price versus comfort.

Many BA planes are having refits and re-configurations but I don't think they are on any Florida routes. Maybe somebody knows different?

And, yes, you can't beat the BA Fly Drive deals.

They are gradually modifying the Gatwick fleet Geoff so I think it’s only a matter of time before they start flying to Florida. Currently it’s mainly Jamaica and Dominican Republic with the new config. Sadly I can see it driving Club seats up in price as they are removing seats so demand will be higher for the Club cabins.

You're spot on Geoffa. Phased introduction from May this year.

Ours on june 28th into Tampa is one of the densified and refreshed 777-200s.

Doing a dummy booking and seat selection shows which ones are using the refreshed aircraft. 10 seats across in economy is the clue

I'm exactly the same. Discovering CW at an affordable price in a BA sale a few years ago was a revelation and I've never looked back. Well that's not true because I pay to reserve the single window seat which faces backwards !

What would be a good price in a BA sale for Club World?

Around £1400 a head would be considered decent to MCO or TPA

But you’re not flying in business class though. Somethings just cost what they cost and for some it’s worth it for others then they’d rather spend it elsewhere. Neither is right and neither is wrong

All of the window seats face backward . I assume you mean the ones in the last row of each club section. But as there are normally 2 sections and 2 sides to a plane that makes 4 of the walk out with no step over others on most flights but only 2 if a single club cabin

With the refurb there will only be 2
