Annual pass Magic bands

I see on MDE I can customize an AP magic Band

Is there any benefit to doing this seeing as we will get new magic bands on check in at AKL

Don't really want to be given two sets of bands exactly the same. Would be a waste

I always get the AP Bands as you also get sliders in the box and the orange card that goes with the Bands. I tend to order them to arrive once we are there but you could get them to arrive before you do and then decline the ones for your reservation albeit I wouldn't just in case the AP ones are late turning up.

Personally I would just have them as they still come in a nice box unlike the normal toilet roll tube the others are on!

As we stay in a value or moderate the first night we end up with 14 Bands a year for the 2 of us.

The other option is don't personalise them and don't order them at all.

The AP Magic Bands we received this year were in a very disappointing plain cardboard box - we threw it away. Last year's box was a quality design that we've kept (on display in our house!).

I agree about the box and sliders. Our lastest customised AP bands didn't come with sliders or in the nicer box like they did last time. I just took them out the box they came in and popped then into the old box with the others. New ones renewed so curious to see if they come with sliders but I am sure I read they had stopped them.

OP. I would customise the bands and pop your name, a nickname or something on them and choose a colour if you like. I have different variations of my name on them all and all different colors so that they go with whatever I am wearing.

Sounds like we were lucky, we all got our sliders in April. I thought they varied the sliders each year, but ours were the same as last years. And NO car magnet!

Hmmm.. It was 3 years ago, but we definately got different colours...
