Cabana Bay - The good the Bad and Ugly...

We have booked Cabana Bay May 13-19 2019 in a Courtyard family suite. I have been searching and reading reviews and they are very mixed! Would love to hear from those who have stayed... Are there things to avoid/watch out for or things we should request? We love the look of the resort and the amenities appeal to our 10 year old twin girls... Give it to me straight

no mixed feelings here - I love love love the Cabana Bay, the feel and theme of the hotel is just me all over, loved our room, and the grounds/pool areas are amazing. I would happily stay at the Cabana Bay and travel every day to Disney parks .

What are the mixed reviews about?

we stayed there a few years back...and then went back again...and again...we too love love love Cabana Bay and have always had a fab time there with no complaints. Rooms are great, pools are great, food court is great, proximity to universal is great... can you sense a theme here 😋

Thank you so much for that! I’ve been reading reviews that say housekeeping is less than stellar and that the rooms are run down and shabby especially in the courtyard suites... also mixed reviews on staff. All of which I take with a grain of salt as everyone has different expectations and experiences but I wanted to hear from people here who have been .

adam hattan stayed at the cabana bay in December 2018 and did a bit of a vlog for his youtube channel - you could have a look at that and see whether you consider it looks shabby (it didn't to me ).

We stayed here last December and loved it. We were in Starlight block, courtyard and had a suite. The room was very clean and spacious. Will definitely be staying here next year.

It’s all good at Cabana Bay, we’ve stayed there twice now. Pools are great, relaxed non-stuffy atmosphere, decent food court and lovely bright spacious rooms 👍

We love cabana bay! Stayed three times now. We have stayed in pool view family suites, they are great. We did not feel they were shabby or run down. We love both pools, could easily spend a day in the pools there. Food court is great, good food, relaxed, perfect for families. Bus transfers to city walk are very regular. We never had to wait. Love the whole atmosphere of the place.

we loved Cabana Bay when we stayed,OH prefers it to any Disney hotels we ve stayed in .Dd was 10, she loved the s’mores by the fire pit and the night time film by the swimming pool.
