Adult Veggie Meals/ Restaurants

We are on the dining plan and looking at choosing 5 restaurants to eat in while we are there. One of us is a veggie (won't eat fish) and the other isn't!

Prefer buffet or family style restaurants, either in the parks or the resorts, don't have a preference.

Bearing in mind the above, what would you recommend for breakfast and dinner?

I'm a veggie and the following are our favourites, in no particular order...

Crystal Palace
Cape May Cafe (breakfast)
Tusker House (go towards the end of breakfast to get lunch offerings too)
Boma (dinner)
Teppan Edo
Californiia Grill
Sanaa
Beaches & Cream
Coral Reef
50s Prime Time

And, a new one for us from a couple of weeks ago, The Wave. Absolutely spectacular with food every bit as good as our favourite Cali Grill, but only one credit.

Its getting easier to eat out there if your a veggie, but they still have a way to go.
Some restaurants offerings are pretty poor. The DW does eat fish which helps but some places she is almost left with fries.
I would recommend spending a few hours going though all the menus on line. Many of the buffets are aimed mostly at meat and once you take out any foods you dont like or wouldnt touch, there isnt that much left for the price you are paying. Each year I find buffets I really want to try, but decide against them as it will basically be me pigging out while she watches and eats bread.

Via Napoli is good if you like pizza, and Sanaa is a must for us.
Boma do the best breakfast buffet.

We just got back a few days ago and I am the only veggie in a family of 5.

The buffets/family styles we did were Crystal Palace lunch (mediocre food, not much choice), 1900 Park Fare (better food than Crystal Palace) and Tusker House (my favourite food-wise as they had options for veggies that they didn’t have anywhere else).
At the end of the day I suppose it depends on which characters you want to meet, if any, as there will always be some food for you.

In terms of non-buffets that we went to...
Coral Reef - nice food but only 1 option
Toledo - 1 option: plant based seafood, restaurant is very nice and our server was great
Via Napoli - brilliant pizza, has a few options here
Boatwrights - fine but only option was jambalaya
Paddlefish - would 100% recommend for someone who enjoys seafood but not for a veggie as pasta with oil and veg is the only option.
Planet Hollywood - veggie burger was ok, other option was 6 cheese grilled cheese
Splitsville - nice veggie burger, restaurant is a bit of a dump though
The Plaza - 1 option: veggie bangers and mash, really nice change
Cinderella’s Royal Table - would NOT reccomend the plant based protein bowl, probably the second worst meal I ate

I think that’s everywhere we ate

We went to Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, I am the only veggie in the family.

I had this

Plant-based skillet
Maple-Chipotle Barbecue Jackfruit, Spicy Sausage, Mustard-glazed Beefless Tips, Herb-brushed Trick'n Chick'n, Roasted Potatoes, Oven-roasted Carrots, Sautéed Green Beans, Charred Peppers.

It was lovely 👍
