What we ate on our Disneymoon - October 2016 *COMPLETE*

Hello!

I've decided to do a food report instead of a trip report as we vlogged our trip this year so I think a full trip report will be too much! I do waffle on though so forgive me if I don't stick 100% to the food! I have a pre trip report here.

The Cast

Sinead (27)
That's me! I'm a really picky eater but I am making a real effort to branch out more and try more things. I'm not a big meat eater, but I love frozen drinks, mac and cheese, and fries!

Steve (29)
Steve likes pretty much most food, but especially spicy, mexican food.

As you might have guessed from the photo (and the title of this report!) this was our Disneymoon trip. We went for three weeks and we stayed at the Raddison Blu in Manchester, then the Rosen Plaza, Hard Rock Hotel, and Coronado Springs for 2 weeks with the full DDP.

Thursday 6th October.

Today was a bit of a nightmare! We'd literally just got on the train to Manchester when I got a text from Virgin Atlantic to say our flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. On the advice of Virgin Holidays we carried on to Manchester while we waited to see if they could get us on a different flight.

We had a lot of stress this afternoon calling different people and trying to get a room booked for the Friday night. Luckily the Raddison were good to us and let us upgrade our standard room to a business class room for the two nights for a reduced fee. We also found out that we had been booked onto a Saturday flight meaning we'd only lose one day of our holiday which was a massive relief!

After we moved they also left some prosecco in our room as it was our honeymoon which was a really nice touch!

After all the stress/excitement we decided to move our planned trip into Manchester city centre to meet my friend to Friday night and get ourselves room service this evening. We got room service here on our last trip and it is mega pricey, but oh well... we're on holiday!

I got a kid's plan burger meal (I'm so interesting aren't I). Kids meals come with a side too so I got garlic bread!

Steve got the normal burger which looked almost identical to my kid's burger!

Friday 7th October

So this morning we had the buffet breakfast at the Raddison (which we forgot to take photos of as we didn't bring cameras/phones down to breakfast, oops! in my defence it was not a proper holiday day!) It's actually a really good buffet, and it's included in the business class rates too.

We headed into Manchester as we were meeting our friends for dinner. I made the most of the delay and got my nails done, and I also bought some Charlotte Tilbury foundation.. oops!

We were going to Reds this evening, I'd been there before when I'd been in Manchester for work, but Steve had never been so he was pretty excited. We met my friend Jen and got some drinks while we waited for her partner Conor to arrive from work.

I got a long island ice tea as we were practically on holiday now. I actually really enjoyed it!

Steve got a back yard IPA.

After Conor arrived we ordered and the food came pretty quickly. I got a dirty buffalo chicken burger and sweet potato fries. It was okay but I wasn't a huge fan of the BBQ sauce.

Steve got the brisket, which he said was okay.

I think we both enjoyed the building more than the food. Don't get me wrong, it's okay but I think we were spoiled by the three weeks of genuine American food we were about to eat!

We said goodbye to Jen and Conor and headed back to the airport... fingers crossed we would actually be flying tomorrow!
