Fascinating Facts
I find the fact that I phones have 100,000 times more processing power than the Apollo 11 spacecraft computer fascinating! I find that difficult to comprehend sometimes and it makes the moon landing even more of an achievement
What facts fascinate you? Edited at 07:06 AM. |

That Stonehenge 'stones' were quarried in Wales and transported across the Bristol Channel.
Just why? And why did Aliens build the Pyramids? Are they GPS markers.

Another one which I'm sure many of you already know, but this was a mind blown moment when I found out:
X% of Y is the same as Y% of X, for example: 25% of 50 is 12.5 which is the same as 50% of 25... that's 12.5. Or 40% of 75 = 30, which is the same as 75% of 40 = 30

Rob. I never knew that. Mind you 90% of the time my maths is bad. The other 19% it's dreadful.

The town of Dinosaur, Colorado contains numerous road names named after dinosaurs, including Camptosaurus Crescent, Triceratops Terrace and Brontosaurus Boulevard.
(Rumours that Mr Tom Morrow was the original Mayor of Dinosaur are scurrilous and completely untrue.)
