Xmas Day options

Hi Guy's
Xmas Day options.
For next year as this year cancelled.

I'm intrigued to find out what people do on Xmas Day while in Florida.

Is it a case of Xmas Day dinner cooking in the villa.

Or out and eat out and a few drinks etc.

What are you up to guy's.

Thank you
Kind regards David.

I’ve only been once at Xmas
Spent the day at Celebration hospital while the missus and kids had pizza at the hotel.
Certainly a Xmas with a difference

We've been twice to Orlando and once to California for Christmas. In Orlando we had 1 day that was water park, celebration and Perkins for dinner and one year was Universal and Chilis for dinner. Last Christmas day we were staying at Santa Monica beach and done beach and pier in the morning, with hotdog on pier for lunch, the afternoon swimming in the hotel pool and in the hot tub, then in the evening cheesecake factory for dinner. Sitting outside on the roof with patio heaters. Now I've just depressed myself 😂

Usually drive to Fort de Soto, have a lovely walk down the beach, followed by a picnic ... missing it this year

Up early and in MK as soon as it opens, we usually stay at BLT or CR then it's only a walk down the path. Lunch at the GFCafe, pool and present opening in the afternoon and dinner at Cali Grill to finish the day.

We used to get to MK for opening but with fast passes now get there for about 10ish. We do our three, watch the parade and then back to the hotel. We normally stay around the Boardwalk area so a quick hike back on the bus and catch lunch somewhere.
We'll sit around the pool if it's warm enough or just mooch. In the evening we've had meals all over - sometimes in Epcot, at the resort etc.
We have been tempted to try another park on Christmas Day but have always gone to MK.

Over the years we have done many different things, originally we would go into MK and spend time there. Other years we have been to a water park, played mini golf, had ice cream and then gone to CG later. More recently we have enjoyed staying late in MK on Christmas Eve, a leisurely morning in our villa or townhome, then a walk or mini golf, followed by a meal at one of the WDW hotel restaurants. It depends who’s going and how old any children are.
Our last visit our daughter wanted to go to AK to see Pandora, so we still had a late morning then went into AK. We stayed until closing and had Christmas lunch at Tusker House (about 4pm) which turned out to be very good.

Last year Christmas Day was the sunniest day so we mostly spent time by the pool. Evening meal pre booked at Trail’s End in Fort Wilderness followed by a boat ride and time at the Wilderness Lodge. Previous Christmas days we have been to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom but have arrived very early, booked lunches then left when it got busy.
